Lesley Chesterman cracks me up regularly. She’s stand-up-comedian funny, and I get a daily dose in my dealings with her as her editor for the Weekend Life section.
So when Chesterman, The Gazette’s fine-dining critic, began tweeting over the last year, her sense of humour was bound to find its way into her tweets. Which, coupled with her unrivalled knowledge of the Montreal restaurant scene and food and cooking in general, was bound to make her a Twitterer of note.
So it comes as no surprise that Chesterman has been named one of Canada’s top foodies on Twitter by the National Post. You can see the story here.
Here’s the kind of thing you’ll see on Chesterman’s Twitter feed:
Went to a foie gras cooking demo last night and watched the chef massacre the foie gras. Not a clue what he was doing. Duck died in vain.
Was just watching an infomercial for Wolfgang Puck’s electric cookie press. A whole new low in kitchen gadgetry. For shame Wolfie.
Just found a squirrel in my kitchen w/ his entire body in the bread bag. Gave me a dirty look and split. Squirrels in my hood are hardcore.
