If you got a kick out of seeing Mercury transit the Sun on Monday. Or if you missed the whole darn thing — whoops! — you’ve got another chance to do some star-gazing this weekend, this time in Dorval.

On Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., at the Dorval Arena, the Dorval Astronomy Club is inviting people to mark International Astronomy Day with its members.

If the sky is clear, they’ll help you spot the moon (ok, maybe you can handle that one on your own). But how about some planets?! Jupiter! Mars and Saturn — if you’re lucky, they say — plus other assorted celestial objects.

Before you all look up, there’ll be a slide show, some videos and posters explaining just what is going on up there in the skies.

The arena is at 1450 Dawson Ave. For a cheery map showing directions, click here.

Feed Your Head is a new phone app original, offering suggestions every weekday for interesting stuff to make you think. Check out another afternoon feature In or Out?, where we offer suggestions for both staying in or going out. Thoughts? You can find it all by downloading the app here for your iPhone or here for your Android. Thoughts? We’re right here: smartphone@montrealgazette.com
