Feed Your Head: If Sherbrooke St's buildings could talk …

A guided walk called “The Route of Secrets” will take you through the streets of downtown and answer questions you might not even know to ask! Such as:

— Just were did all those cut stones come from for the construction of buildings on Sherbrooke St.
— What stories can those buildings tell us?

The walk will appeal to anyone interested in geology and architecture. It’s led by Lillia Bouhalassa, a MSc candidate in UQÀM’s Department of Urban and Tourism Studies, and Coralie Zorzi, a doctoral candidate in geology at UQÀM.

They’re giving it on Friday, 1:30 p.m. and again on Sunday, 9 a.m. The tour starts at the entrance to UQÀM’S Président-Kennedy Pavillion, 201 Président-Kennedy Ave., métro Place-des-Arts. Register for Friday here and for Sunday here.

Price is $15 for adults; $12 for students. Get there a little early, organizers ask. The tour goes rain or shine, and lasts about three hours, so … no heels unless you’re Tyra Banks. The tour ends at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Feed Your Head is a new phone app original, offering suggestions every weekday for interesting stuff to make you think. Check out another afternoon feature In or Out?, where we offer suggestions for both staying in or going out.
