Veuve Clicquot is about to put on its annual week of Champagne-infused festivities, with restaurants, bars, hotels offering bubbly-themed events and menus along with a pop-up boutique.
It’s the fourth year Veuve is doing what it calls Yelloweek, and the event has expanded to Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
Let’s get this out of the way right here: Yes, there will be free Champagne. One achingly beautiful flute’s worth. You just have to buy the first one.

The week kicks off with brunch on Sunday, May 2, at Buonanotte on St-Laurent Blvd. It’s a thematic menu.
Moomba in Laval and Soubois on de Maisonneuve Blvd. will be two places to go to raise a glass in a lively atmosphere.
Five restaurants have created menus to pair with bubbly:
Tuesday: Auberge St-Gabriel in Old Montreal.
Wednesday: Jellyfish Crudo Coal + in Old Montreal
Thursday: Tapas 24 in Old Montreal
Friday: Mr. Resto + Bar on Bleury St.
Saturday: Soubois
The pop-up boutique will be at Alton Gray in Carrefour Laval for the month of May.
Le Germain, the beautiful boutique hotel on Mansfield St., is offering a package for the week. You won’t find the details online. You’ll have to call the hotel (877-333-2050) or ask for them at reservations@germainmontreal.com.
